At 7:00 AM, depart Hanoi on a comfortable Sapa Express Bus for a scenic six-hour journey through the picturesque provinces of Vinh Phuc, Yen Bai, and Lao Cai. Arrive in Sapa, often called “The Town in the Clouds”, surrounded by dramatic mountains and lush valleys. After checking in at your hotel and freshening up, spend the afternoon exploring Cat Cat Village, home of the Black Hmong people, where you’ll find traditional houses, colorful costumes, and authentic village life. Overnight in Sapa.
After breakfast, drive to Muong Hoa Valley, renowned for its sweeping terraced rice fields and stunning landscapes. Begin a gentle trek through the valley, passing lush paddies and learning about the traditional farming techniques of ethnic minority groups. Visit Lao Chai Village of the Black Hmong and Ta Van Village of the Giay people, where local hospitality and cultural traditions are deeply rooted. Along the way, stop by a small Catholic Church, a serene landmark amidst the fields. Return to Sapa by van and enjoy free time in town. Overnight in Sapa. Approx: 1 hour driving / 2 hours walking
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before walking to the grand French-inspired Sun Plaza. From here, take the Mountain Train for a short scenic ride through valleys and tunnels, followed by a 20-minute cable car ride up Fansipan Mountain (3,143 m), the highest peak in Indochina. To reach the summit, climb 636 stone steps for an unforgettable view above the clouds, with sweeping panoramas of the Hoang Lien Son Range. Descend by cable car and return to Sapa by Mountain Train. The afternoon is free for you to relax or explore Sapa Town at your own pace. Overnight in Sapa.
After breakfast, visit Ham Rong Mountain, a charming area with beautiful flower gardens, impressive rock formations, and spectacular viewpoints overlooking Sapa Town. Enjoy a traditional ethnic music performance before returning to your hotel for check-out. In the afternoon, depart Sapa and travel back to Hanoi by bus, arriving in the capital around 9:30 PM, where the tour concludes.
