Mekong Rest Stop – Tien Giang is a premium travel stop located on one of the main highways connecting Ho Chi Minh City with the Eastern provinces and the Mekong Delta. Thanks to its convenient location and high-quality facilities, it has become an ideal break point for both domestic and international travelers on their journey to Southern Vietnam.
Designed with an open architectural concept, Mekong Rest Stop blends naturally into its surroundings, following the spirit of “Green – Clean – Beautiful.” Spanning nearly 12,000 m², the complex features a full restaurant system (including a central restaurant, air-conditioned dining areas, five traditional wooden houses, and one antique-style house), along with a shopping zone and supporting facilities. The rest stop operates daily from 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week.
From the moment guests arrive, they can feel the fresh and peaceful atmosphere of the river region. The welcoming spaces are built with rustic Vietnamese materials such as bamboo, thatch roofs, and natural wood, creating a warm countryside charm. Adding to the experience are winding water features, bamboo bridges, wooden boats, and traditional fishing nets—beautiful details that reflect the authentic lifestyle of the Mekong Delta.
Beyond its relaxing environment, Mekong Rest Stop is also well-loved for its rich selection of traditional Southern Vietnamese cuisine. Guests can enjoy iconic local specialties such as sour soup, braised dishes, black pepper stew, as well as popular regional snacks like bánh xèo (Vietnamese sizzling pancake) and bánh khọt (mini savory pancakes). Using fresh ingredients sourced locally and prepared carefully by experienced chefs, every dish promises great flavor, freshness, and quality. With friendly and professional service, the restaurant offers travelers a satisfying and memorable dining experience.
After a delicious meal, visitors can explore the souvenir and handicraft area, featuring charming gifts that showcase Vietnamese culture – from coconut shell crafts and bamboo products to colorful brocade textiles, local snacks, and traditional handmade items. With its peaceful setting, authentic design, tasty food, and convenient facilities, Mekong Rest Stop is more than just a stop – it is a unique cultural and culinary highlight on any trip through the South of Vietnam.
